



A leader in vascular analysis technology created a diagnostic product for neurovascular disease and hoped to spur product adoption and diffusion by demonstrating value through a comprehensive reimbursement strategy and health economic analysis.
The Aequitas Group designed a reimbursement strategy that aligned with the requirements of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and commercial payors for making coverage determinations for technology adoption. In addition to creating a reimbursement roadmap strategy, The Aequitas Group also prepared a product valuation report, composed of a financial model that projected revenues through a 10 year time span and then discounted these revenues to create a current valuation for the client’s product. Our research team conducted primary market research with former medical directors from national health plans, in order to evaluate existing coverage guidelines and define opportunities.
The deliverable provided strategies for action in the event of either a positive or negative decision from the insurers.
