



A pioneer and market leader in the urology market required reimbursement assistance for the launch of a new medical device. The client hoped to gain insight on payor methods and practices in order to identify potential deficiencies in product design and clinical trial endpoints to inform their commercialization strategy.
The Aequitas Group supported the client in comprehensive coverage, coding, and payment assessments and planning before submission of coding and coverage requests to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). Specifically, the research team at The Aequitas Group described the scope of payor requirements and information necessary to engage payors regarding reimbursement evaluations and to draft coding [HCPCS, etc.] and coverage documents applicable to private payors in the U.S.
By researching and developing a tactical plan that included the key U.S. targets, The Aequitas Group was able to provide a reimbursement payor-specific tactical plan of action for the client at launch.
